It was a delight to work with the mom of three on portrait paintings of her children. Child portrait painting is a delightful experience for me as a portrait artist who started with this genre. It’s always an honor to be asked to capture any person on canvas —I have been a professional portrait painter for 20 years and it is still something that is very meaningful to me. Professional portrait painters learn little tricks to get the best out of their sitters. Some have even painted their noses red to get the child to look at them consistently.

Family oil painting portraits are interesting as you do get to know the personalities and mannerisms of each family member! Isabella was a real trooper and placid like her older sister.
