This young man is the youngest of three outstanding offspring of a family in the Boston area. I’d been commissioned to paint his older sisters, when his family was looking for a local portrait artist, and they knew of my work as a family portrait artist: they’d seen my children’s oil portraits in friends’ homes.
So we enjoyed the process of planning for this portrait painting of Nick. We loved his little smile and wanted to keep that subtle. In between his travel and storms we met and I delivered the varnish portrait painting in person.
